Tornado Hits Tupelo An apparent tornado has raked parts of Tupelo and Northeast Missisisppi. Just after 8 am Thursday, the twister set down on the west side of Tupelo near the Chesterville Road area.   Tupelo Wins 5A Golf Title The Tupelo golf team took the overall championship Thursday at the Tupelo Country Club. Northwest Rankin finished second and defending champion Madison Central finished third.
