WLOV Man faces possession of weapon by felon charge
Columbus police arrested a man on a charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon after finding a loaded firearm on his person.

Police say Tyshaun Hudson, 34, of Columbus was taken into custody Tuesday.

Officers came into contact with him as he was walking down the center of 7th Avenue North and he was found with a loaded firearm in the waistband of his pants.

Authorities say a criminal history check showed Hudson was a convicted felon stemming from a conviction in 1998 for sale of cocaine.

His bond for the crime was set at $5,000.

The American Red Cross says its Disaster Action Team Camp will cover how volunteers should help in communities when a home fire or other disaster occurs.

Camp sessions will include Disaster Services Overview, Disaster Action Team and Disaster Assessment Fundamentals, and Client Casework.
