||Reshoring business in Mississippi workshop
Bringing jobs back to the Magnolia state - that's the goal of a Mississippi Make it in America workshop, which will be hosted in Indianola next week.
The free Reshoring Opportunities workshop will take place on October 30 at the Capps Center in Indianola.
It will aid companies to understand reshoring concepts and trends and the costs of manufacturing overseas versus in the United States.
There will be morning and afternoon breakout sessions, a reshoring presentation and lunch. The morning session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last to 1 p.m. The afternoon session will last from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
||Food for Families drop-off locations
The annual Food For Families food drive kicks off Monday.
Last year, the food drive brought in 75,000 pounds of food.
This year's goal is 100,000 pounds.
The food donated will go to local food pantries in Northeast Mississippi.
The official kick-off ceremony starts at 5 p.m. Monday at the BancorpSouth Arena.
