MSU softball eliminated from NCAA Tournament
For two hours Saturday, the Mississippi State softball team (33-24) showed the fight which brought them to the big dance, coming from behind to eliminate Mississippi Valley State (25-32) from the 2013 NCAA Mobile Regional. Hours later, the music on the dance floor came to a screeching halt, as the Bulldogs were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament with a 3-0 defeat to host South Alabama (47-8).

SEC Baseball Tournament field set
With the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday, the field for the 2013 SEC Baseball Tournament has been set. Mississippi State fell a Friday night extra-innings loss shy of receiving a first-round bye, but will instead be the No. 5 seed in the tournament, which starts Tuesday.
